We at Dearneside Fabrications wish to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude, to both our Clients, Employees and Supply Chain for their loyal support over the past 25 years as we celebrate our 25th year in business. When the company was founded in 1994 it had fewer than ten employees, initially trading in the immediate vicinity of its original base next to the River Dearne in South Yorkshire. It quickly established itself with its client base and began its journey to become, what it considers to be, the leading Architectural Metalwork and Balcony supplier in the UK, working on countless prestigious projects along the way.

As it enters its 25th year of trading, the business now employs in excess of 125 people and has a great relationship with both supply chain and clients alike. Continuing its successes year after year, servicing the largest Contractors and Developers in Europe on budget and on time.

In recognition of our 25th Anniversary, we will be providing daily updates on LinkedIn, featuring past projects that we at Dearneside Fabrications are proud to be associated with.

Coast to Coast

Article added:

On the 12th July three Dearneside staff will be cycling from Morecambe to Bridlington, cover 170 miles to raise money for those with cancer.  With elevations of over 1300ft the route covers the Lune Valley, Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Wolds.

Taking three days, travelling on Mountain bikes, each day will range from 50 to 70 miles in total,  going from the Lancashire coast to the Yorkshire one.  Its something that Andy, Marcus and Simon have never done, and was conceived following two of them completing the Safe Urban driving course in 2018 so the company could gain its FORS Silver.

“ We enjoyed cycling around for the day so much, we thought we would do it again, but on a grander scale!” said Simon Hill, Dearneside’s Health & Safety Manager.  “ We can also raise a bit of money for charity while we do it!”

Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Relief with Hook Up for Breast Cancer, the team aim to raise over £2000 to help fund a breast cancer scanner at Bassetlaw Hospital.  They are selling sponsorship on t-shirts being worn during the ride, where logos can displayed for a donation of £100. Companies wanting to sponsor can email simon at or alternatively donate at

Goodluck Hope Development – East London

Article added:

Dearneside is pleased to announce that we have recently been awarded the Balcony and Architectural Metalwork Package on the prestigious Ballymore Goodluck Hope Development in East London. We have already been working with Ballymore for numerous years on the neighbouring London City Island project.

Goodluck Hope is an industrially inspired island development, revitalizing the East London Docklands riverside. Located near both the financial district of Canary Wharf and the creative Shoreditch and Hackney districts, the development is in an ideal central location.

The plan is to build over 800 new homes, 2,000 sq m of commercial space, 235 sq m of education floorspace, a brewery, and a restored Grade II-listed Orchard Dry Dock.

Previously the island was a hive of industry, housing a number of industrial firms from coopers to shipbuilders and the East India Dock Company. The aim of the development is to showcase this great industrial heritage through design and materials used.

At the heart of the development is Douglass Tower. The 30-storey building, which has been designed by architects Allies and Morrison, is split into a series of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
