At Dearneside, we have been investing in apprenticeships since 2012. Despite being based in the Steel City of Sheffield, we have consistently found it challenging to recruit skilled fabricators and welders. Apprenticeships have enabled us to develop talent in-house, training individuals to meet our exacting standards from the very beginning.

Through our apprenticeship programme, we ensure our apprentices develop excellent MIG and TIG welding skills, producing work of the highest quality every time. Over the years, we have steadily built a strong workforce made up of former apprentices, many of whom now mentor and support the next generation coming through the business.

We chose AMRC Training Centre because it offers outstanding training, assessment, and mentoring. Their approach actively involves us throughout the apprenticeship journey, including in apprentice assessments, to ensure alignment between training and real-world requirements.

The welding facilities at AMRC are exceptional, and this high standard of training is clearly reflected in the quality of products manufactured on our shop floor by both our current and past apprentices.
