Dearneside successfully installs balconies on Ballymore’s London City Island project

Dearneside has successfully installed the balconies on Ballymore’s London City Island project, offering spectacular views of the river and of across East London.

We have also partially completed the Promontory viewing platform.

Situated next to Canary Wharf in East London, London City Island is one of the most important London-based waterside projects of this decade. The project has been branded as London’s Mini Manhattan, due to the design of the project being modelled after the colourful apartment blocks typical of Manhattan.

The island comprises of 12 acres of mixed-use development including homes, offices, restaurants, boutique shops, pedestrian and cycle routes, waterside parks, arts and cultural spaces.

Once completed, the site will be home to 1,600 residential units as well as the headquarters of the English National Ballet and the London Film School.

Currently phase 1 has been complete and phase 2 is under construction. For more information visit the project website.
